Rebecca Ferguson is a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter who came to prominence in 2010 when she finished runner upon the hit TV show, The X Factor. As a notable songwriter, Rebecca has co-written four solo albums: Heaven, Freedom, Lady Sing the Blues, Superwoman and is currently writing her fifth and final album Heaven Part 2. Additionally Rebecca has been nominated for two MOBO Awards and one MTV Europe Music Award.
Heaven
Rebecca’s debut album, Heaven, was released in December 2011 to massive commercial and critical success.
The album sold over 130,000 copies in its first week and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Official Charts, making Heaven the fastest-selling album for a Debut Solo Artist for the Decade between 2007 - 2017. Additionally, it was certified two times platinum in the UK and platinum in Ireland.
The album yielded six singles including the lead single “Nothing’s Real but Love”,which enjoyed commercial success throughout Europe and Oceania and entered the UK Singles Chart at number 10. Her subsequent single, “Glitter & Gold” was released in 2012 and has since been featured as part of Ferrero Rocher’s advertising campaign.
Freedom
Rebecca’s second studio album, Freedom, was released inDecember 2013. It was met with rave reviews from the press and it also enjoyed commercial success in the UK where it debuted at number 6 on the UK Album charts and was also certified Gold by the BPI. The album’s lead single, “I Hope”, peaked at number 15 in the UK.
LadySing the Blues
Lady Sings the Blues is Rebecca’s third studio album - It was released on 6 March 2015. The album is an interpretation of songs performed by American jazz singer Billie Holiday, predominantly from her 1956 album of the same name.
Superwoman
Superwoman is Rebecca’s fourth studio album and saw a return to her soul/pop style. It saw her team up once again with producers and song writers such as Francis White, Troy Miller and Jonny Lattimer.
